St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Cambridge, Mass., was converted to affordable housing in 1991 and featured a large, open bell tower and several stained-glass windows. In 2016, firefighters battled a 10-alarm fire, which ultimately led to the restoration of the affordable housing units.

NEI General Contracting recently completed construction of a three-story building for Just-A-Start Corp., which is a community development corporation dedicated to building the housing security and economic stability of low-to-moderate-income people.

The new building creates 16 units of affordable housing and reflects the scale and style of the triple-deckers typical of the surrounding neighborhood.
