One of the long-standing challenges in the ready-mixed concrete industry is inaccurate manual processes at the batch plant and in the office, which can be costly. The good news is new technology is coming to market to improve accuracy throughout the raw materials receiving process.

Command Alkon recently introduced supplyCONNECT Replenish, which is a new module that improves, automates, and digitizes the materials receiving process for vertically integrated producers.

supplyCONNECT is comprised of three modules, and currently Replenish is the latest addition to the family. supplyCONNECT Demand is available to forecast the needs and plan raw materials deliveries. supplyCONNECT Inventory provides realtime visibility into current stock level at each plant location. Each module can be used individually or combined as a bundle to give control of raw materials supply chain.

With supplyCONNECT Replenish, material receipts are electronically transmitted to COMMANDbatch, providing visibility into future deliveries of raw materials and eliminating the errors that come with manual ticket reconciliation. supplyCONNECT Replenish keeps batch operators focused on running the plant instead of spending hours manually entering raw materials receipts.

Technology can help solve a number of challenges in the construction industry. Being able to have instant visibility into the status of raw materials supply chain offers big value for those in the space.
