Residential construction continues to get a boost with new technology, especially with the growth of emerging technology such as AI (artificial intelligence), AR (augmented reality), VR (virtual reality), and so much more.
Here’s a case in point: earlier this year, Computer Presentation Systems introduced two new products to complement its software suite.
The first is an AR-based product that allows homebuyers to view a builder’s option/upgrade choices. With an innovative way to visually communicate housing design packages and upgrade options to the buyer, Imaginarium takes all the design options, such as materials, colors, and design styles, that tend to overwhelm people at the design stage and helps the buyer view, evaluate, and narrow down their selections in an easy and understandable way.
This technology gives prospective buyers the ability to design their own kitchen or bath by sampling, then selecting different option, which can be emailed to the customer.
The second product released from the company allows homebuilders to deliver critical, on-demand home pricing and availability information to prospective buyers before they visit a sales center. SiteViewer Essentials is a standalone, web-based, interactive sitemap application that provides buyers with realtime lot availability, pricing, and more. For example, the builder can display the realtime sitemap on the Website, allowing the home shopper to check a range of housing metrics.
In today’s digital age, homebuyers come to expect a connected experience when buying a new home. These are two examples of how technology continues to advance.
